Nelson Residence
Four distinct spaces carved from two original rooms. One bathroom became a full bath and a separate 3/4 bath, and the laundry area became a mudroom and laundry suite with its own 3/4 bath — each with a unique tile identity.
The homeowner had two rooms and wanted four usable spaces out of the same footprint. We re-plumbed, moved walls, and worked around nonstandard dimensions throughout. Each finished space got its own artisan tilework and design direction. There's a lot of structural work behind these walls that the photos don't show.

Primary Bath — Shower

Primary Bath — Full View
Primary Bathroom
The original bathroom got split into two separate spaces — this is the full bath side. We moved plumbing and framing to carve out the room, then built a walk-in shower with a navy herringbone accent wall and dual shower heads behind frameless glass. The opposite wall is floor-to-ceiling black-and-white polka dot penny tile. The homeowner knew what they wanted and we executed it clean.

Guest Bath
Guest 3/4 Bath
The other half of that original bathroom — a 3/4 bath with white scallop tile wrapping the walls, brass fixtures, and a glass shower partition. Completely different feel from the primary bath. Warm and bright instead of bold and graphic. Same footprint, two aesthetics, and the tile crew executed both.

Mudroom — Cabinets

Mudroom — Laundry
Mudroom & Laundry
Used to be just a laundry area. Now it's a proper mudroom with integrated washer and dryer, wall-to-wall custom cabinetry, and a pull-out clothes rack. The walls had nonstandard dimensions — nothing was square — so the cabinets had to be spec'd and installed to fit precisely. Dark hexagonal floor tile, countertops running the full length for folding and sorting. Finished to the same standard as the rest of the house.

Mudroom Bath — Shower

Mudroom Bath — Vanity
Mudroom Bath
New 3/4 bath off the mudroom — this space didn't exist before. The shower has white vertical stacked tile with a terrazzo ceiling that carries over from the mudroom backsplash. Black fixtures throughout. The vanity area picks up the terrazzo again in the floor tile, connecting the two rooms. Small space, every surface considered.
